Melody Makers runs every Friday morning from 9.30-11am during school terms.
It is more than a weekly music class and play group for children aged 0-5 – you will be joining a lovely community of children, parents and grandparents.
We have a few vacancies as of Feb 2024.

Each year, CBC takes up a winter appeal to support the ministry of Hopestreet; part of our Baptist family of churches working among the homeless and marginalised in the heart of the city of Sydney.
Hopestreet would love to recieve items such as:
Tin spaghetti / Baked beans / Vegetables
Nuts / muesli bars, cereal
Vegemite, jam, peanut butter
Rice, pasta, noodles, pasta sauce
2-Minute noodles (Packs and Cups)
Biscuits, cookies, crackers
Coffee, tea bags, sugar
Long life milk,
Shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brush, women hygiene / sanitary items, deodorant
Good quality clothing items.
We will collect for Hopestreet until the end of July. Buy something every week or buy several items and add them to the collection at church.
As restrictions continue to ease we are inviting everyone to participate in our annual Sunday Lunch.
We want the everyone to be involved, either as hosts or guests; sharing a meal and some fun and fellowship too.
It’s happening on Sunday 2 May. Please contact the church office if you’d like to be involved.
Praying together is such an important part of the spiritual life of the church. Renewal, vitality, direction and ministry effectiveness are all underpinned by a commitment to seeking God in prayer.
YOU are invited to join us here at the church on Sunday 28th March (6:30pm) for a time of worship and seeking God in prayer. All welcome. You can pray aloud or simply listen.
It has been a long and frustrating year, but thanks to Jesus we can have true peace with God.
Whether you are with us in person, or celebrating quietly at home, may you know God’s peace this Christmas.
Our Christmas Day service will be at church at 9am (note the time!) or on Zoom at the same time.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak on the Northern Beaches, we won’t be proceeding with streaming carols in the church tonight.
But the carols continue to be fully available online.

This week we can sing again (albeit with masks on).
Being able to sing is not the only thing we are waiting patiently for. Some are waiting for Christmas to see friends and family. Some are waiting for holidays. Some are waiting for answers to prayer for a whole host of different things.
As we wait patiently, we are reminded of all the people who were waiting patiently for the appearing of God’s Messiah.
Simeon was a righteous man who had waited all his life for this promise to be fulfilled. God had told him that he would meet the Messiah before he died – and he did.

What does it mean to be truly free?
Paul says that “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”(Galatians 5:6)
Does this statement give us license to act however we love? To speed if we love speeding? To kill if we love killing?

Was it something that you “chose” to accept – or can you recognize the leading of God in drawing you to repentance and faith?
And what of the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life?
Did you choose to allow God into your heart – or did God appear to you and make Himself known?
